According to a message board post Phil Demmel collapsed on stage during "Descend the Shades of Night".

"Suddenly, after 5-6 songs, while they started playng "Descend the Shades of Night", Phil [Demmel] fall down on the floor and never wake up. Obviusly, the doctor reach him in seconds, and take him away. I've seen the ambulance lefting the stage without noone inside, so he'd be ok. Robb [Flynn] and the band sayd that they didn't know what was happening, and that they thank the fans for understanding."

I just recieved an e-mail from Alan of the Machine Head crew and he says that Phil is OK!

Official statement:
As has been reported in the media, Phil Demmel did indeed collapse onstage Thursday night in Milan, Italy. Demmel was suffering from the flu at the time and was severely dehydrated. Says drummer Dave McClain, "Thankfully, he was fine from the fall, his blood pressure was normal, and the medical technicians that arrived on scene all felt that he was ok. Machine Head wish to extend our gratitude to the good people of Milan for being so understanding at the end of our show."
